Why would anyone want to fix what they said wasn't broken?
The city manager, who used to work for the Greensboro Partnership as a lobbyist, should not be involved in contract negotiations with her former employer, who's paying for $25,000 of the City of Greensboro's DC lobbyist, whose parents gave to Mayor Perkins' 2011 campaign.
Denise Turner Roth is both on the Operating Group of Action Greensboro and the Board of Directors of DGI while negotiating/designating taxpayer money for both groups;

Sec. 4.131. - "Conflict of interest: Greensboro Code of Ordinances" states; "Any officer, department head or employee who has financial interest, direct or indirect, in any proposed contract with the city … shall make known that interest and shall refrain from voting upon or otherwise participating in the making of such contract…”,
