A few biblical thoughts relative to North Carolina's anti gay Constitutional Amendment One Vote for those citing scripture to justify bigotry

Why Don't Women Cover Their Hair During Prayer

...every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered
dishonoureth her head...

Corinthians 11:5

If the Punishment For A Wife Defending Her Husband = Cut Off Her Hand,
why aren't there a lot of one handed women?

When men strive together one with another,
and the wife of the one draweth near
for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him,
and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets:

Then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her.

Deuteronomy 25:11-12

Deuteronomy 23:2

If Women Will Never Teach or Have Authority Over Men
how many have violated scripture?

she is to keep silent.

If Divorce and Remarrying Are Both Considered Adultery...?

Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery:
and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.

Deformed People Cannot Approach God

For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach:

shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the Lord made by fire: he hath a blemish;
he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.

than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched.

Mark 9:43

If non married Non-Virgins Are To Be Stoned
should there be vastly fewer females?

If non married Non-Virgins Are Not Stoned
how many men have sinned by not following biblical law?

But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:
Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house,
and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die:
because she hath wrought folly in Israel,
to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.

Deuteronomy 22: 20-21

Men With Wounded Penises or No Testicles Are Not Allowed in Church?

He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off,
shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord.

Mark 12:19

If You Disobey God, You Must Eat Your Babies?

If in spite of this you still do not listen to me but continue to be hostile toward me,
then in my anger I will be hostile toward you,
and I myself will punish you for your sins seven times over.

You will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters.

For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death:
he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.

Leviticus 20:9

Love Thy Neighbor?

Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart:

Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people,
but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself

I recommend you study Old Testament law. There are three types. Ceremonial, judicial, and moral. You will learn why there are ceremonial laws pertaining to tabernacle worship. You will learn why there are judicial laws to separate Israel from her pagan neighbors. You will learn why God gave us moral laws so that we can treat each other as God intended and honor Him. You will also learn that Christ came to fulfill the ceremonial and judicial laws, both of which were pictures of the coming Christ, and why the moral law remains, which is still useful to us today.

That is why we can have an illegitimate child walk into a church today. It's why it's OK to get a tattoo or eat shellfish today. It's why we can wear a shirt made of multiple threads. It's why we don't cut people's hands off anymore or stone adulterers. Jesus fulfilled those things. They are no longer necessary. And it's why moral law, such as that which details why we must repent of the sin of homosexuality, remain today. So that we may see the kingdom of God.
