My comment at Doug Clark's post on Brannon, Tillis and Hagan

"As economic and monetary policy are more important than the issues raised to date, the difference between the candidates shouldn't rest on Doug's argument in my view.

If the debate stays within superficial realms, the best candidate will most likely not be elected.

Mitt Romney is no great American.

He profited from transferring our workforce overseas.

He sucked the marrow out of companies and let them implode under mounds of debt.

He violated the fairness of the tax system.

I don't see how Kay Hagan has done any better for the other side.

In my view, either Romney or Obama would have brought us to this same place.

The two party system doesn't do what's in the best interests of the nation. They do what's in the best interests of the two party system."
