On the Downtown Hotel: Has Bridget Chisholm resolved these issues?

Proposed GSO hotel to be smaller, less costly

Fitz Dearmore…has more than $100,000 of family money Invested in the Phoenix Hotel project, but says neither Marlon Phoenix nor Chisholm has returned his calls in months to learn about the status of the project.

“I can’t get any answers; I can’t get any information from them,” says Dearmore, who adds that he intends to request an audit of the company’s books….I really feel that they’ve abandoned the project here."

If they are going to do that in Memphis, what are they going to do in Greensboro?”

Chris Lee, a friend of Dearmore’s in Memphis who worked closely with Phoenix for several years to develop the hotel concept, says he was fired from the project in January.

He was asked to submit his final bills for services, which he says topped $100,000, but has not been paid yet.

Nor, he says, has Phoenix returned his calls.  (We could not reach Phoenix for comment.)
