A comment at Allen Johnson's "After Wolverton", in which my thoughts on the matter were excluded from the debate

There is still the unanswered question of where $184,000 came into the Downtown Greensboro Foundation Allen.

There is still an annual $150,000 taxpayer dollars that goes to Action Greensboro that doesn't seem to have been spent on much.

There is still the problem of DGI's Board. Many of these folks are going to be funding the News & Record and the Rhino with the ad money coming from politically appointed boards and commissions.

I believe Ed Wolverton was the fall guy, but not for Robbie and Nancy.

Ed Wolverton was the fall guy for the board, which is staying in place.

Is anyone going to hold Betty Cone's Grassroots Productions accountable to the city's taxpayers for back taxes not paid while it wasn't a non-profit? She's on DGI's board, and is allowed to avoid the business taxes everyone else pays?

Dawn Cheney is on five or six boards.

Miltion Kern has been a board member for 11 years?

We are stuck with the same thing, only different, and you seem to be expecting the folks who got us into this mess to get us out. At what point should the Editorial Board of the News & Record consider another alternative?

Time for something new.
