I am running for Mayor to bring 50,000 jobs to Greensboro and Guilford County over the next 10 years. I want my kids to be able to live and work around Greensboro after they graduate college. The status quo is currently an impediment to the chances of my being able to watch my grandkids grow up close by. We cannot bring in good paying jobs with an uneven playing field for businesses looking to relocate or expand. I believe we don't have a level playing field, which means some of our city's leaders have acted in the name of our community, while favoring a select few in an ethically inappropriate manner.

Did Billy Jones just get laid off from feeding the hungry, that he didn't get paid for, why, who and when could what happen after what may happen next?

I had forgotten until today that George had picked up my post. Previously I apologized publicly and privately for confusing the public as to this issue. To clarify, I never helped out at GUM and never claimed to do so. I helped out elsewhere and never identified where but like many local pantries we were supplied in part by GUM. GUM did cut back on the days they were able to supply us but it was only temporary. Ed Cone's effort to make George a villain in this is simply misguided.
