and lobbyists only support politically compatible candidates
without expectations of quid pro quo
after donating nearly $20 million to federal elections since 1989
why would a homebuilding association
publicly announce a donation cessation following failed legislation
that would have allowed builders to use current losses
to recoup past paid taxes
and why was similar legislation reintroduced the next day?
