the cucumber earning monkeys stopped gathering pebbles

in response to perceived unfairness


and exhibited hostility

when some received grapes for doing nothing


are some humans responding the same way

to perceived injustices in response to economic distress

only differently?

is the oldest and most fatal ailment of all republics



If need is sustenance and a temperate climate


and modern society’s social contract

is do not do to others what you wouldn’t want them to do to you

unless you need to


have a few at the top broken society’s social contract

with the many underneath?
