If there were thousands of relatively independent media companies in the mid 1900’s, ~50 by the 1980’s, and less than 10 after 2000, mostly owned by conglomerates with conflicting interests, dependent on legislative initiatives for regulatory concerns, and advertisers and political campaigns for profit, is most mainstream information relatively more objective or less?

I love the Matrix reference. I often refer to doing research as "going further down the rabbit hole" - it is frightening but knowing what I know now, I certainly wouldn't have chosen an alternative path.

Greensboro Water Conservation was working! It began in 1994 and it won national and local 1st place awards for reducing water demand.
Greensboro ended water conservation in 2004. Why have you not listed the dam scam in your blog list? 70 stories have been published at www.damscam.blogspot.com since 2007 exposing Greensboro's water fraud.
The mainstream media won't investigate the evidence offered in dam scam. Why isn't the blog on your list?

I looked at some of your info.
Questions: Does documentation of the city lowering the water levels to sell the dam exist?
Who has benefited the most from the dam being built, even though no real new industry has resulted from it?
If the dam is stopped now, how much money do we lose, compared to how much we could not spend etc...?
Who paid for the $150 million to do the dam, and who benefited the most during construction?
Is the fraud documented?
What does the city say when asked for water usage rates for the last 20 years?
"I informed you personally in 1997 and 1998 that water demand was declining and that city managers were concealing the decline. You did nothing with my reports. Now it’s a decade later and the proof is in that everything Greensboro said about its future water needs and the Randleman Dam was false."
Is there any other proof other than falling water usage that shows the dam is a boondogle?
"Water sales are suffering. Waste water treatment sales are suffering. And the city cannot tell the truth about why water rates are going up else the citizens will realize that Randleman was never needed. "
Why are water rates rising?
How has debt service affected rates with falling usage? If we borrowed X to pay for Y, hoping for increased revenue to pay for the additional capacity, there is a problem if we are indirectly paying for principal and interest for what we don't need.
